This year’s theme emphasizes “Justicia Social y Económica para Todas las Personas,” urging societies to ensure economic justice and social protection for all, without exceptions based on gender identity or sexual orientation.
Here in Baja California, the celebration resonates deeply. As one of the Mexican states with a smaller LGBTI population, Baja California prides itself on fostering an inclusive environment, despite challenges. The state’s authorities and activists are continuously working to push forward rights and acceptance.
This day also marks an opportunity to celebrate the diversity of identities, and advocate for the ongoing struggle against discrimination.
