San Felipe Carnival 2026
Carnaval San Felipe 2026 is a vibrant three-day celebration taking place from February 20–22, 2026 in San Felipe. Organized by the local tourism committee, the event invites visitors to “Live life in a sea of colors!” with music, culture, and festive traditions.
The carnival features a lively program of activities each day:
Friday, February 20
The celebration begins in the evening with DJ music, followed by the official coronation ceremony and inauguration. One of the traditional highlights, the “Burning of Bad Humor,” symbolizes letting go of negativity. The night continues with live performances by Cimarrón Norteño and La Diferencia.
Saturday, February 21
Festivities start at noon with a colorful parade. The afternoon includes cultural stage performances, fun traditional games, and the popular “Palo Encebado” (a greased pole contest). Evening entertainment features Grupo Carnaval and Banda Coloso.
Sunday, February 22
The final day opens with another parade and cultural performances. Later, there is an awards ceremony, and the carnival closes with a live concert by No-C.
